With more than 20 years of experience advising companies in various sectors, Carlos has distinguished himself especially in the fields of infrastructure, financial, automotive and health, in the practice of Tax Law.

Member of the Board of Directors of ICDT and member of the Technical, Accounting, and Economic Academic Commission of the institute. His teaching vocation has led him to teach classes at prestigious institutions, such as Universidad de Los Andes, Universidad Externado de Colombia, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, and Universidad Central. His career includes his contribution to the editorial team of the tax unit of Legis Editores S.A., and his participation as a member of Revista Impuestos/Tax Magazine of this same publishing house.

Before joining the firm, he worked with Dirección de Impuestos y Aduanas Nacionales (DIAN)/National Tax and Customs Office, and in multinational firms in the areas of taxes and legal services.

He is a founding partner of Jiménez Higuita Rodríguez & Asociados, now Esguerra JHR.
