Juan Pablo has advised financial entities on regulatory matters structuring products and services, doing debt restructuring, and on growth and expansion processes at a local and international level.

Also, he has participated in acquisitions, mergers, and asset disposal transactions advising companies from diverse sectors of the economy, including financial entities, capital market infrastructure providers, health insurance companies, among others.

He has also represented several entities in administrative, sanctioning, and judicial processes, both in ordinary and arbitration justice, in corporate, commercial, and financial matters.

Before joining Esguerra Asesores Jurídicos, he was Legal and Executive Vice-President at the Bogota Stock Exchange.

He has been a professor at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and Colegio de Estudios Superiores de Administración in undergraduate and graduate degrees in the areas of Capital Market Law, Commercial Law, and Corporate Law.

He is a founding partner of Esguerra Asesores Jurídicos, now Esguerra JHR.
